Mustang Gentling

Mustang Gentling is my most favored skill. I work closely with each one of my mustangs to learn their personalities and to better match that horse with their new potential adopter and forever home!

The mustangs learn their basic handling skills. From completely wild horses, straight from the holding facility, to learning their basics and getting them ready for a new life in the domestic world!

The horses will learn how to:

-Be caught and haltered

-Lead

-Stand Tied

-Be brushed

-Load and Unload in a horse trailer

-Pick up all four feet

-Basic ground handling and manners

You must have a BLM approved application in order to adopt a mustang.

​

To be approved, you must have at least 20x20, 5ft tall (regular metal horse panel height) corral with shelter/windbreak.

With newly gentled mustangs or previously unhandled domestic horses, TRUST DOES NOT TRANSFER.

I will do everything I can to assist in helping you gain that same trust I was able to achieve by each horse.

All horses have proof of doing all skills listed and then some depending on how long the horse is with me. Some horses take longer than others to allow their new adopter/owner to do the things I was able to do. It also depends on how much time and effort YOU put into your new partner!
